Sunday 1st October 2023 Unity - How Good! Jacob Greatbatch

Text: Psalm 133

Psalm 133 is one of the smallest ‘chapters’ in the Bible, but it carries a big vision for our life as Christians together. This Sunday we’ll be thinking about what Psalm 133 says about the goodness of Christian unity. What is it, and why is it so good?

Sunday 2nd July 2023 Ambassadors for Christ Jesse Gollan

Text: 1 Peter 2:12-25

We are called to live as the “restored” humanity. This glorifies God, and also “advertises” his goodness to the people around us. Some of the best opportunities we will have to make much of God’s goodness is when we are wronged.

Sunday 16th October 2022 Hope Beyond Death Jacob Greatbatch

Text: 1 Thess 4:13-18

Jesus gives us great hope in life and in death. Death is an inevitable reality that all of us will face. This week we'll be digging into 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 to think about the great hope that Christians have, even in the face of death. We'll be looking at what the second coming of Christ will involve, and how both his first and second coming contribute to the hope that we have as Christians.

Sunday 18th September 2022 Forgiveness from the Heart Ps Nathanael Remminga

Text: Philemon

Being reconciled by Christ to himself, we are called to express this reconciliation towards each other. If you've been a Christian for any amount of time, you know that we sometimes get things wrong when following Jesus together. We will need to both seek forgiveness from, and offer forgiveness to, other Christians. The book of Philemon helps us to see our own need for forgiveness, to appreciate the reconciliation that Christ has achieved for us, and to understand how we can be like Jesus as we seek to make peace with our Christian brothers and sisters.

Sunday 11th September 2022 A Model Church Jacob Greatbatch

Text: Acts 4:32-37

It's safe to say that one of the main problems that people have with Christianity is "The Church." Even as committed followers of Jesus we can struggle with church sometimes. The early church as described in the book of Acts gives us a picture of a young, healthy, vibrant church. In this week's sermon, we'll be thinking about what we can learn from the early church. Would church life be more appealing and attractive if we were like the early church? How do we achieve that?

Sunday 28th August 2022 The Mystery of Marriage Jacob Greatbatch

Text: Ephesians 5:18-33

This week, we're looking at the bible's pattern for marriage. What does the bible have to say to husbands and wives? What kind of picture do we get of what marriage should look like? In Ephesians 5 we get a wonderful picture of Christian marriage, and we see that marriage is designed to ultimately point to the relationship between Christ Jesus and the church.

Sunday 3rd July 2022 Family Matters Jacob Greatbatch

There is something about serving others that feels good. This Sunday we’re gong to look at how Jesus has served us, and how he calls us to serve others. We’re going to look at not only how Jesus served us but his attitude towards serving us. There are some dangers that we need to beware, but we’re going to see all the different ways that Jesus calls us to serve other people, and how we can reflect his attitude in our service. This Sunday I want to encourage you to commit to serving God and his people!
