We want people to feel like they belong in our church family. If you are a visitor to our church you are extremely welcome. We want to invite you to come along to our Sunday services, to hear about the amazing love of God in Christ Jesus. You can attend as often as you like, and for as long as you like, everyone is welcome. We provide coffee after our services, so feel free to stick around for a coffee and a chat. We also run regular events such as BBQ lunches, men’s, and women’s activities, which you are welcome to attend.
But God doesn’t just want you to attend church, He wants you to be become a part of his family. We would like to encourage you to become a member of our church, to commit to our church as your spiritual family. We take membership very seriously, and we don’t rush into it. Basically members are those who believe in Jesus and who commit to love, serve and support the ministry of our church. If you would like to find out more about membership you can check out our Membership Handbook here, or have a chat with Ps Josh.
One of the key ways that we engender a sense of belonging is through regular contact with other members of our church family. This is primarily done through our Sunday Morning Services and our Small Groups. You don’t have to be a member to join a Small Group, but it’s a great way to experience the fellowship of other believers, to be encouraged in your faith, and supported in your daily trials. If you would like to find out where your nearest Small Group is, or a group that would best suit you, just contact Ps Josh here.
Another key way to create a sense of belonging is to get involved in serving. We have dozens of ways that you can serve in our church. Some require that you are a member of our church, but many are open to regular visitors. One of the best ways to get to know people, and to feel a part of the church is to serve alongside people in ministry. We would love to encourage you to discover and develop the gifts that God has given to you through his Spirit. If you would like to look at how you can serve in our church check out our Ministry Options here.
One of the responsibilities of belonging to a church is financially supporting its work. Giving isn’t an obligation, but an act of worship by those who have received so much from God (2 Cor 8:9). We don’t demand people give, but as Paul writes, ‘Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor 9:7)’ If you would like to see our policy regarding giving, or if you would like to financially support the work and ministry of our church you can find all the details here.
