Vision 2023

1. Discipleship 13th November 2022
Text: Matthew 28:18-20

We all know that discipleship is important, but what does it mean to be a disciple? We all know Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples, but how do you do that? We like the idea of being discipled, but how often do we ask who are we discipling? Next year as a church we want to focus on making disciples, so this Sunday we’re going to answer those three simple questions: what is a disciple, how do you make disciples, and who makes disciples? This Sunday is discipleship 101.

2. Outreach 20th November 2022

Text: Matthew 9:35-38

Our vision for 2023 is to not only focus on discipleship, how we can become more like Jesus, but also how we can reach out to the lost with the Good News of Jesus. This Sunday we’re not only going to see how evangelism was Jesus’ purpose, priority, passion and prayer, but how as his followers evangelism ought to be our purpose, priority, passion and prayer. This Sunday we’re going to look at how we can reach out to our community with the gospel, beginning with our Christmas Party on the 11th December.

3. Community Engagement 27th November 2022

Text: Luke 10:25-37

Last Sunday we looked at how it is our purpose and how it ought to be our priority to reach out to our local community with the good news of Jesus. This Sunday we’re going to look at community engagement. But if our priority is to share the gospel, why would we engage our community in other ways? We’re going to see that community engagement is not only necessary in our post-Christian culture, but that it’s a biblical mandate. We’re going to look at how we can engage our local community personally, together, and as a church. Come and be inspired and challenged.
